NIT2222 – NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES
ASSIGNMENT-2 (30%)
WIDE AREA NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES
Objective:
By completing this assignment, students will be demonstrating their knowledge and skills leant from week 6 to week 12 which include;
o IPv4 and IPv6 address planning o Wide Area Network concepts o Wide Area Network technologies o Implement and configure IP routing of medium complexity
1. Business case
To be aligned with the recent developments in the IT industry small retail business company ABC Holdings Limited has decided to migrate their computer network from IPv4 to IPv6. Due to the budget limitations only the company Head Quarters (HQ) Office and two of its branch offices, Branch A and Branch B will be migrated to IPv6 first. Branch C migration will be carried out in the next year.
You are hired by the ABC Holdings Limited to perform the network migration.
2. Specifications:
ABC Holdings Limited has been allocated IPv6 address block 2000:XXXX::/48 to use in their network. Where XXXX are made of the last 4 digits of your student ID.
Branch C continues to operate on IPv4 network with 150.50.YZ.0 network address. Replace Y and Z with the last 2 digits on your student ID.
The company network topology is as shown in Figure 1 bellow.
Figure 1: Network Topology
3. Instructions
3.1 Address planning (20 marks)
• Work out the IPv6 subnets for the company Head Quarters (HQ) and each branch from the given IPv6 address block. (10 marks)
• Create the address assignment table for the company network that contain the address of each router interfaces, PCs and Servers. (10 marks)
3.2 IPv4 routing configuration (20 marks)
• Configure OSPF for routing between Branch-C and HQ router. Use IPv4 150.50.YZ.0/30 for networks between the routers.
Include the configuration commands here for each router. Then enter them on devices in a Packet Tracer file to implement a functional network.
3.3 IPv6 routing configuration (20 marks)
• Configure EIGRP or OSPF for the IPv6 network.
Include the configuration commands here for each router. Then enter them on devices in a Packet Tracer file to implement a functional network.
3.4 IPv4IPv6 Network NAT-PT (20 marks)
• Configure HQ router as IPv4IPv6 NAT router so that the new IPv6 HQ network can access the Branch C server, which has the IP address 150.50.YZ.100.
Include the configuration commands here for each router. Then enter them on devices in a Packet Tracer file to implement a functional network.
3.5 Verification (20 marks)
• Perform the necessary verifications to test the performance of the implemented network on Packet Tracer. All computers should be able to ping any other computers on different networks and to the ports on the router.
Include necessary screenshots of ping and show commands on computers and routers in here.
4. Submission
You have to submit the design document as outlined above with a working Packet Tracer file to VU Collaborate Submission Box by the due date.
DO NOT ZIP THE SUBMISSION FILES.
You may be asked to demonstrate your solution, along with the document to your lecturer / lab tutor.

Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality

1.Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality: Replace hardcoded strings “Zero”, “One”, “Two”, “Three” in the ArrayList based on user typed input (use Scanner or JOptionPane classes). The user will be prompted for the String to be stored in the ArrayList and then hit enter. The user will be able to continue to add items to the ArrayList until they just hit enter without typing anything. Once the user does this (hits enter without typing anything), the program will display all of the elements of the ArrayList, both the index and String values, in a table. It will do this via a single loop making use of an iterator method. 2. Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality: Use a Try/Catch block so that the exception is caught and the program exits a bit more gracefully. Save this file as TryCatch.java. (Be sure to rename the Public Class accordingly.) Starting with the provided code again (without the Try/Catch block), fix the code so that
