In a 2-3 page paper, research and examine how future trends in managed care programs are working to alleviate the expense of medical insurance and to provide sufficient coverage for those who cannot afford the cost. Identify vulnerable populations, such as the uninsured and the underinsured, minorities, maternal patients, and the elderly and indicate some factors that impact their care, such as poor health and shorter life spans. Discuss the steps that are being taken to resolve the nation's expensive health care system and then evaluate the role that Health care reform plays in this process.
