The Role of Chapter 3
By now, you have explored and used the appropriate rubric sections for the first two chapters of your proposal plan, and synthesized how they relate to the rest of your proposal.
For this Discussion, you will examine the Chapter 3 section of the Dissertation Rubric. Keep in mind that there are two separate rubric sections for Chapter 3, one for Qualitative Studies and one for Quantitative Studies. If you and your committee have not decided which type of study you will be doing, for the purposes of this Discussion, select the methodology that you are more likely to use. If you are planning to undertake a mixed-methods study, you must review both rubrics.
With this context in mind, post by Day 3 of Week 5 a response that addresses the following:
Your evaluation of how Chapter 3 relates to and informs Chapters 1 and 2. Include a process map/flowchart.
Your assessment of how your problem statement and literature review have informed your methodology and research design.
Discuss when you think Chapter 3 should be written and explain your rationale for this timing. If applicable, include what your committee may have suggested or required of you.

In this second Case assignment, you’ll be researching and writing about some of those factors.
