•    Abstract: A brief summary of your topic and hypothesis as well as the major components of the research proposal (sample, research design, and data collection techniques)
•    Introduction: Including a brief history of the problem, you present your topic, problem statement, and some general information about your topic.
•    Review of Literature: Summarize at least five relevant/related research projects. This part of the proposal can be taken from a modified version of your Review of Literature from the Unit 3 Assignment, but be sure to address your instructor’s comments.
•    Variables and Hypothesis: Give a brief description of your independent variable and dependent variable. Provide the specific hypothesis statement which includes the independent and dependent variable.

1. Hypothesis- Neighborhoods with drug patrol units are less likely to have drug sales than neighborhoods without drug patrol units.

2. Variables
IV-Drug Patrol units
DV-Drug dealers

3. Population-the city of Killeen, TX
Sample will be from a master list of all the neighborhoods located within Killeen, TX.
This will be a classic design because I can randomly assign patrol officers to some neighborhoods and not others
4. Sampling strategy: The sampling strategy appropriate for my population is probability sampling.
5. Specific sampling: The specific sampling technique I will use is simple Random Sampling because I can randomly select neighborhoods out of the all the neighborhoods in Killeen, TX and assign random numbers to the selected neighborhoods.
•    Research Design: A description of your research design and a justification of why this particular design was chosen; discuss how your variables will be studied or controlled.
•    Sampling: Provide a description of your sampling plan; identify the population, sample, and sampling technique chosen.
•    Data Collection: Describe your one or more data collection techniques (e.g., survey, focus groups, interviews, field research, existing data, etc.).
•    Considerations: Discuss validity, reliability, and at least 1 ethical issue as they apply to your research proposal.
•    References: You must include correctly-formatted APA in-text citations in the body of your paper, and a matching reference list in appropriate APA form.
•    Format your work consistent with APA guidelines.

Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality

1.Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality: Replace hardcoded strings “Zero”, “One”, “Two”, “Three” in the ArrayList based on user typed input (use Scanner or JOptionPane classes). The user will be prompted for the String to be stored in the ArrayList and then hit enter. The user will be able to continue to add items to the ArrayList until they just hit enter without typing anything. Once the user does this (hits enter without typing anything), the program will display all of the elements of the ArrayList, both the index and String values, in a table. It will do this via a single loop making use of an iterator method. 2. Starting with this provided code, add the following functionality: Use a Try/Catch block so that the exception is caught and the program exits a bit more gracefully. Save this file as TryCatch.java. (Be sure to rename the Public Class accordingly.) Starting with the provided code again (without the Try/Catch block), fix the code so that ...

Why was this movie important to hollywood? What was the feeling of it, the colors, techniques, theme, director, style, music, anything! What was special about Alfred Hitchcock and this film?

Directions For this assignment, you will need to choose a topic or person from any of the various eras, movements or decades that we've discussed this semester and do a presentation on them using any media format you choose. (IM CHOOSING THE MOVIE PSYCHO-    Why was this movie important to hollywood? What was the feeling of it, the colors, techniques, theme, director, style, music, anything!  What was special about Alfred Hitchcock and this film? The subject matter doesn't have to be limited to an actor, director or filmmaker, but  the topic of your presentation could be on the inventions of any of the equipment, editing or filming techniques that you've learned about.  Basically, you can pick an area to cover and do your presentation on that.  The point is that you take a deeper dive into the subject by exploring information about it that may not have been  covered in this course.  It does have to...

independent variable

Which of the listed variables does a researcher mainly use in his or her approach with intent to establish validity - specifically, construct validity? ·         independent variable ·         confounding variable ·         dependent variable ·         participant variable ·         extraneous variable ·         third variable Instructions: With our engagement in this discussion we will likely touch upon learning objectives/competencies 2.2 and 2.4 as dependent upon the various variable selections and replies. (a) Please briefly define the two concepts (variable type(s) selected from the list and construct validity) using our text by Cozby and Bates (2015) or another credible source. (b) Then, support your view...
